Successful RMA “Summer Soiree” Fundraiser
Soiree [‘swa:rei] n. [swah-rey] [from French, from Old French soir evening, from Latin sérum a late time, from sérus late]
An evening party or other gathering given usually at a private house, especially where guests are invited to listen, play, or dance to music.
No matter how you pronounce it, the Retail Merchants’ Buy Local fundraising event was a huge success! The event was held on Tuesday, June 21st (FIRST DAY OF SUMMER) from 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm at Winridge Manor, 116 Winridge Drive, Madison Heights, VA. Rain showers didn’t keep spirits down. RMA Members hosted a variety of stations full of Southern Delights – Music, Food, Southern Drinks, Photo Booths, and the Ladies thrilled the group with the vast array hats worn (think Derby!).
